Christian Rehab Programs for Drug and Alcohol Addiction

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

Rest, a rest that restores, is precisely what you will find here. Replenishing your peace, recovering your health, refreshing your life, this is rest from all the burdens that addiction conveys. Isn’t that what you want for yourself or a loved one? At St. Gregory Retreat Centers, we understand. What’s more, we’re here to help.

We know that your journey to freedom from addiction begins with the first step. That’s why we walk beside you as a friend. Offering compassion, caring support and plenty of encouragement, we assist you every step of the way. Your goal to leave addiction behind you is our sole objective as well. You are not alone.

This is treatment with a difference: Christ. Not a 12-step program nor a seemingly endless series of weekly meetings, our Christian-based rehab program is a safe and supportive place to lay down your worries, struggles and fears. We provide a peaceful, even contemplative environment, offering you the opportunity to reflect, to reevaluate and to pray. Based on biblical principles combined with sound professional counseling, we guide you in experiencing and maintaining sobriety that lasts.

As residential treatment, St. Gregory’s Christian rehab programs offer a welcoming, affirming living space where you can grow in your understanding of yourself as you simultaneously grow closer to Christ. Making the most profound difference of our program, it is these two areas of growth that sustain the long-term changes that are the foundation for your sobriety.

Moreover, the serenity of our chapel and the structure of our virtue-based curriculum are key components in our form of Christian rehab, facilitating all the transformations that take place. Simple concepts, these elements are integral to our programs at St. Gregory’s.

Chapel

St. Gregory Retreat Centers have chapels at every one of our facilities that are available for private prayer and reflection. These quiet and prayerful spaces are open 24/7 and offer guests the opportunity to spend private time in prayer and reflection. These spaces have been consecrated and are set aside for such prayer and reflection.

Virtue-based Curriculum

The idea of virtue is one of the oldest human models of how to live excellently and is as relevant today as it was 2,500 years ago. Our program focuses on habit-formation guided by the seven virtues of prudence, justice, fortitude, temperance, faith, hope, and love as a means of living a balanced and deliberate life. These virtues apply to all people in all cultures.

Virtue practice and discussion permeates daily life at our facilities. Morning seminars begin the day with a focus on virtue, and evening reflection end the day with an examination of how the day went. This focus emphasizes the value of living a deliberate, intentional life and the value of spending time considering how one might live and behave better.
